Quite a subtle concept, apart from being abstract….the concept of subtlety.

Very few try bother about finding out the distinction between similar looking words.

My cousin is one of them. ( at least, he was……if, the age hasn't forced or squeezed_out the curiosity about such subtle aspects).

Probably, he decided it was safe to ask a fellow like me about distinction between achievement & accomplishment ( of course, there was some kind of debate at his workplace during their brief recess. And the decision remained inconclusive, due to the very nature of these two words, which overlap like conjoined twins😜)

I told him my views, and it looked like, he was convinced.

He might have even forgotten about it.

But me, the way I am…..I used to get bogged down by the confusion between two actions, in the arena of spirituality practices.

Already, spirituality is itself quite a fuzzy, abstract and subtle word well known for its evasiveness of grasp ( or was it "elusiveness"???😜😜)

And the, when we are supposed to be just trying to remain alert, eyes closed, we end us trying to watch our breath. These two are entirely different 🙏…. Being alert, doing nothing….and watching the-breath.

So, 

achievement versus accomplishment……😂

I managed to coin a sentence. Let's see how much I am correct about it.

The effort was to bring out the subtle difference 🙏

" We would have achieved nothing worthwhile, if we could not accomplish the subtle task of grasping the distinction between the two terms, achievement and accomplishment. Which of these qualifies better for success, is not fixed, because situations might differ. Whereas, we have people who are known for their achievements, and we have yet others, who are known as 'accomplished personalities' and they aren't quite the same"

Luckily, I ain't either of these, and therefore….have the luxury of observing the two, dispassionately.
