Atleast Arjuna as a safe Yardstick?
Today almost any fellow assumes and assigns himself the eligibility, competence and qualification to expound the contents of bhagawad Geeta π
No cognizable offence, for desecrating its essence π
Not so during ancient times π
A voluntary & unconditional mutual understanding existed among literates that “only a fellow who is able to EXPERIENCE the 4 MahaVakyas within, shall attempt to expound the contents of Gita. Others shall only lead a chorus of chanting, because of the embedded software in the verses to manifest it's latent Energy ( hence, no_less important π)
Forget Krishna, forget Rishis, and even forget ashtaVakra, the sole fellow to Compose his own version called “AshtaVakra’s Gita”.
At least Arjuna can be a Yardstick? I humbly ask today's self-proclaimed Gita_experts( those who are yet to be enlightened of course π€£ π) “should you not be at least somewhere nearby to Arjuna, to talk about Gita? Arjuna was superskilled. Our Arjuna_awards are for sportsmen, not war_heroesπ€£π. Even Arjuna asked too many doubts to Krishna, documented in Gita. And, significantly enough, it took 11/eleven full chapters of Gita to enable Arjuna to ‘think’ of addressing Krish as “Bhagwan”( a bit of respect π). Should we not be atleast 10% of Arjuna to expound Gita to unsuspecting audience???” No law can be enacted for this. π
Misinterpretation, despite any amount of “all in good faith & without any negligence” wala factor, can cause a hindrance in a future possibility for that gullible listener to get an accurate translation π. Alternatively just chant the text, as accurately as possible, π and results are guaranteed π
My hope is, a few among readers might consider well, what I am trying to convince and avoid falling a prey to incompetent fellows thrusting some nonsense as their interpretation π…. At least lack of patronage might be an effective deterrent.
Hopefully yours,
