Clarity..

It took some time for me to regain my 'previous' clarity about clarity, when the visual clarity dominated due to the exact/accurate power of the transparent lens that perched upon my nose-bridge for the very first time, some 5 decades ago!

Suddenly the whole-world became so-clear... “Yesss! This is indeed that clarity!” , I thought so....

But the mind wouldn't leave this clarity alone!

It came back with its own doubts!

A 6-by-6 vision does help a lot in clarity... And we have to get-that-clarity right, so as to remember the distinction between a binoculars, which-also brings a clarity about what is 'vague' due to distance....

We often tend to dismiss that 'memory' as a gift to chosen few... Where as, some part of that “memory” is very much within our control too...
I 'remember'... an old movie “Grihasthi”... (Hindi, with Ashok Kumar as Hero... Nirupa Roy, an expert at getting tears, lamenting etc)...
A Jethaani (eldest lady) of a joint family headed the task of ensuring snacks for the whole family, (some 2 dozen members), who decided to do justice to the classification of this movie as 'family-movie' (not too much of running around a tree by young couple, much to the embarrassment of elders who come along!)...
She prepares 'fresh' and 'mini' samosaas... A movie was no less than a 'pilgrimage' in those days, since a 'togetherness' for a movie was quite rare... The whole family would attend a Bhajan, a feast, a wedding, almost every week, but a movie was perhaps, once in 2 years (together)... And that decided the importance of making those samosaas quite perfect!
Now having taken 'so-much' trouble to make it, isn't it reasonable to ensure that PDS system works well? She starts fishing it out of the large package, and whispering to the 'next' person “pass it on till the end.....” thus starts the endless game of passing the buck(samosa)...
Now the 'Nirupa Roy' madam's 'endless' retakes to get that emotion-expression perfect (crying at both the extreme situations, and yet 'managing' a subtle but 'perfect' distinction , goes a total waste... the whole gang is busy passing/munching those samosas during those crucial scenes!... ) . Nirupa Roy felt sad at being let down by her husband when she 'discovers' his 'extra-wife'.... later she feels sad, at discovering that this extra-wife is her own sister, and this extra-attachment was an imposition by their own dad or so... An unfortunate woman... when discoveries 'eureka' evokes a thrill, emotional-discoveries saddens in 'different-ways'... (A loner in an obscure corner would 'remember' each little gesture of those actors on the screen!)...

Recalling depends upon a proper filing of papers... Just punch holes, and file it into the nearest available folder , is what we do with 'seemingly-insignificant' events...
Wrong folder names keeps reminding us the significance of the papers within it in a wrong-way... Ain't that a wrong filing too? (A non-filing may be a better excuse for poor recall, called memory!)...

Shraddha is the tool to imbibe wisdom, said a cowherd of ancient times... (Was he actually referring to proper filing system? Dunno!)

clearly yours,
