An honest disclaimer: I am a zero in music.
Hence, this is more of an attempt to request "please see, if I make sense π"
Most of us remember at least one small line of a song. We didn't work 'hard' to memorize it. Yet, we keep humming it ( without the lyrics) whenever we likeπ
I tried to look at the basic components of any line of a song ( from what I heard about music)
It has the combo of 7 notes ( meaningless alphabets like, sa,ri,ga,ma,pa,da,ni,sa
A pitch ( level of sound form)
Spacing between two notes.
Arrangents of these alphabets (π permutations and combinations)
( Maybe a lot more "factors"...)
Suppose these 4 are written down in a text format, and a kid of primary school is asked to memorize it for a 'test' next week? He struggles to reproduce itπ
Instead, teach him the 'concept' related to decoding a line of a song, into a written text form, and ask him to appear for the same test/exam? He doesn't need to 'memorise' the entire paragraph of 4 lines each, with 'junk_looking' characters π. He enjoys singing, and writes text instantly!
( I heard that the poem "waves of beauty"( soundarya lahari ) by aadi Shankara is a "time capsule"( with all the knowledge till that point of time in a micro_chip) retrievable with a software ( a chart showing the alphabets used to represent formulae in physics, chemistry, maths, astro-logy/nomy....and several other branches of sciences¡ π³
The key is to know what an alphabet represents in each science) German scientists seem to have decrypted many of its secrets. One example I heard was a formulation from pollen grains, used to restore the memory of spies 'brainwashed' by russian army during WW2, let loose back to Germany as "mad" fellows!!! 3rd verse, describing pollen grains of flowers inducing chaitanya/life π
One thing I tried was to add a rhythm to any text lesson tough for me to memorize for any school exam π. I used the rhythm to correlate the stupid, useless, insipid text to recall it in the examination hall. I learnt the 'trick' in a 'feel_of_it' way. I add an element of 'emotion' to something 'dry' and difficult to memorize π
Slowly, I learnt to 'invoke' some emotion to learn anything. It worked. Then I bumped into something very steady+ stable. π... Intensity when emotionaliZed CONSCIOUSLY, it serves multi-purpose tasksπ. It helped me to walk on spiritual bijness, when others just crawl and slide back, most of the time!
illogically yours,
